This
photo was taken in July 2005 at the Austin Centenary Event at Longbridge opposite the factory where it was built. My
truck is still fitted with the original 3.5 ltr
straight 6cyl. OHV petrol engine. From August of 1948 the 4.0ltr engine
replaced the 3.5ltr version. My truck is a K4 series 1, 5ton dropside first registered in March 1948 and has only had
three owners from new. The next photo was taken at the Heartlink
Rally in Wymeswold
with the canvas back fitted and adorned with flowers from the Heartlink stall.

This
photo was taken by John Warden at the GCR Easter Gala in 2004. The location was
Quorn Station nr Loughborough, UK and shows a ‘Black
5’ Stanier Loco, an Austin 7 newspaper delivery van
(complete with authentic wares) and my own Austin K4. You will find a link to
the GCR on my links page.
